Getting Started with CllrWay
Welcome to CllrWay – a secure resident case management platform built for councillors and ward teams. This guide walks you through everything you need to get up and running.
Signing in
CllrWay uses Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) for authentication. You sign in with the Microsoft work or personal account that was used when your access was granted.
- Go to cllrway.com.
- Click Sign in and enter your Microsoft account credentials.
- If this is your first sign-in you may be asked to grant consent — click Accept.
Note: If you do not have an account, ask your council administrator
or the person who set up your organisation's CllrWay subscription to invite you.
Your profile
Click your avatar / initials in the top-right corner to open your profile. From here you can:
- Upload a profile photo.
- Configure your email settings (SMTP or OAuth).
- Manage notification preferences and letter-signing settings.
Inviting team members
Only administrators can invite new users. If you are an admin:
- Go to Admin → Users.
- Click Invite user and enter the person's email address.
- They will receive a Microsoft invitation email. Once they accept, they appear in the user list and you can assign them a role and ward access.
Tip: Assign the least-privileged role first. You can always promote
a user later.
Logging your first case
- From the home screen, select the ward register you want to work in.
- Find or add the resident using the search bar.
- Click the resident's name to open their record, then click New case.
- Fill in the issue description, select a category, and optionally set a chaser (automatic reminder) date.
- Click Save. The case now appears on your dashboard.
